Brian Westbrook is expected to miss at least two to three games as he recovers from his second concussion in 20 days, Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid said Friday. Westbrook, already out for Sunday's game against Chicago , was examined Wednesday by concussion specialists at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. After that exam, Dr. Joseph Maroon and Dr. Michael Collins said Westbrook was making encouraging progress, and would be re-evaluated in two to three weeks.

I think the doctors want to see how he does after two weeks, what kind of symptoms he has, and then they'll just go back through and evaluate him after that -- two to three weeks   -Andy Reid

Midfield and defence provide Steve Bruce with his biggest decisions this weekend against Arsenal. Suspensions govern the manager's selections once again with captain Lorik Cana sure to return from his one-match ban but Michael Turner leaving the line-up after collecting his fifth booking. Sunderland's midfield performed brilliantly at Spurs, but Cana has to be accommodated in what you would expect to be another five-man blanket.

they get their 4-5 selves right and start believing in QB Jay Cutler again and beat the Eagles , or Philly will rise to 6-and-4 with a win, and the season for Chicago is virtually toast, essentially doomed by frustration and shattered hopes. Until that outcome is determined, 'da Bears are officially not showing up for interviews and promo features with Bob Costas or anyone else on the NBC Sports staff prior to the game. Ironically, the Eagles are talking to the media, but they are in a similar predicame

"Must win." Then, Quintin Mikell said it: "Must win." And since each said it in a formal setting, arranged by the Eagles, on Eagles time, there had to be a reason.

I think what happened last year —- by us even getting into the playoffs —- was a miracle. We don’t really want to count on miracles too much, at least that’s the way I feel. And I’m sure a lot of the guys in the locker room feel the same way. We have to win this game.   -Quintin Mikell

Special-teams coordinator Dave Toub was on Andy Reid's staff in Philadelphia for three years (2001-03), assisting with special teams and the defensive line, before he joined the Bears. According to Reid, Toub is getting the ideal training for becoming a head coach. "I have always said that the coach who is probably best prepared to be the head coach is your special-teams coach because they have to deal with everyone on the roster plus you guys (the media)," Reid said on this week's conference call.

For the second consecutive week, the Eagles will go with a different look at linebacker because of a knee injury to weakside starter Akeem Jordan. Coach Andy Reid ruled out Jordan for Sunday night's game at Chicago. Will Witherspoon will again start at weakside LB, and second-year man Joe Mays will start in the middle.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler said this week that he would be like to see more of wide receiver Devin Aromashodu, who caught his first pass with the team at San Francisco. At 6-foot-2-inches tall, Aromashodu offers a bigger target than Bears receivers such as Devin Hester (5'11"), Earl Bennett (6'0") and Johnny Knox (6'0"). "Yeah, I'd like to see him," Cutler said.

Yeah, I’d like to see him   -Jay Cutler

History is on the Eagles ' side as they head down the stretch run of what has so far been an uneven regular season. Late-season collapses have been rare in the Andy Reid era, which is why there is no need to raise the alert level just yet after two straight losses. True, the Eagles (5-4) will go into Sunday night's road contest against the Chicago Bears having lost their last eight Sunday night games.
